I've got a challenging case, pain, severe bone loss, infections and multiple failed implants over the years. I've been having a tough time eating anything that's not blended or soft for the past 2 years. I needed to find a surgeon who could help me. Dr. Metz has been highly recommended as someone who can successfully deal with tough cases. My surgery will be in a month, but I wanted to give a review for you to consider. Dr. Metz is kind, very knowledgeable and he takes a holistic approach, looking at nutrition and the whole person. During this month, I'll prepare for the surgery and get as strong as I can, so it will be successful. Jessica, the sweet treatment coordinator has helped me navigate everything. So far, so good...to be continued.

I would definitely recommend Dr Metz and his team to anyone who is in need of a tooth implant. Dr Metz performed the procedure and explained everything being done all through the surgery. Lilly, his assistant, was very caring and did an excellent job all during the surgery. I am very happy that I was referred to Dr Metz from my dentist.

This place is awesome! From my initial consultation to my first procedure. Dr. Metz is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met and has phenomenal bedside manner. Lilly made me so comfortable before my procedure . She was super friendly and explained everything thoroughly. She even told me she would call me herself to make sure I was okay after my procedure. As someone that is terrified of the dentist/oral surgeon, I would HIGHLY recommend this office.

Oral & Maxillofacial Surgerons of Houston is hands down top notch. I had a consultation today. Dr Metz coordinator Jessica Salinas got me in less than 24 hours for my issue for pain, thank you so much. You are a rockstar!! Dr Metz assistant Michael Chavez, outstanding patient skills He knows his profession. As I am Army retired and Michael is a veteran, it was nice to have some of the commardie. Dr. Metz was very prompt and put me at ease with my concerns and took care of my pain right away instead of making another appointment. I am grateful. OMSH is a 5 start clinic for all patients looking for a great Oral Surgeon hands down.

Dr Seidel was recommended by my dentist for a tooth extraction and implant. She has been nothing short of amazing! She has been so personable and professional throughout all of my visits. Megan and the rest of her team have been super helpful with any questions throughout the process as well. They, along with the rest of the OMSH team have made an otherwise unpleasant procedure a lot more pleasant. I highly recommend their office for any teeth issues.

If you need this kind of work done, these are right people to do it. Dr Seidel is a MD as well as a dentist. I felt she fully understood my other medical conditions. She gave me confidence in having IV sedation. Her whole team made me feel at ease. Heather and Sharon were both so kind & gentle with an old scaredy cat like me. They have my vote for the best oral surgeons in Houston!

The 2 star rating is due to the staff at OMSH. Dr. Metz alone would have gotten 5 star. I was in need of having a tooth extracted and Dr. Metz was kind and did a good job (so far) to minimize pain and swelling no thanks to the staff members at OMSH which I will now explain. I was scheduled for an extraction, but no one at OMSH had informed me of some pre-op steps I had to take such as rinsing my mouth with a prescription mouthwash Dr. Metz had prescribed. There were other steps I had to take pre- and post surgery which were enumerated on a green sheet of paper that no one gave me - they were in such a hurry and focused on getting my money upfront they forgot all about it. I did not even find out about it until literally minutes before my appointment to extract the tooth; I had arrived early and asked someone at the front desk about the meds Dr. Metz had prescribed. The rinse was to sterilize and minimize germs in my mouth and protect me from infection. The other things which I would had found out had they given me the information is that I cannot eat nuts for 2 week and berries for 1 week after surgery. This was a problem because I had stocked up on bread and berries to eat after surgery, but the bread was a banana nut bread. I literally had nothing to eat until the next day after I had to go buy some canned soup. I was suppose to be examined in a couple months about getting implants, but because of what happened I have decided not to get it, at least not with OMSH. I am thankful to Dr. Metz, but I just cannot take the risk of the others in his practice messing up again and risking my health.
