I had a horrible experience. If you love your kids and want them to have a comfortable bite, DON’T BRING THEM HERE. The doctors don’t know what they’re doing. This was the biggest mistake of my life choosing SCO over a different orthodontist. . After 4 years, my bite is very uncomfortable because my teeth don’t line up properly. I can’t just put food in my mouth and chew it like a normal person. I have to chew gingerly because my teeth hit and scrape each other so loudly that it’s like nails on a chalkboard for everyone in the room. Not to mention that I’ll eventually need to get crowns for those teeth (I also had to replace 2 perfectly good crowns during the process) . They have filed down my teeth (so many of them and multiple times each) to try to get them to fit and then I was told “There’s nothing more I can do for you.” So now what do I do? Dr. Lina is curt and rude. Wait time for appointments can be long. Most of the techs are ok. Bottom line: I would never bring my child here.

First time customer today. 5/5 highly recommend Space City Orthodontics! I had one side of my permanent retainer come unglued last night. I made a next day appointment online and entered in all of my personal and insurance information on the website before my visit. Julie at the front desk was so nice and got me checked in. I was in a hurry to catch a morning flight and Julie & Nicole both helped get me seen quickly. Thank you! Jennifer took my measurements and got my permanent retainer repaired in probably less than 15 minutes. Everyone was extremely kind and professional. I will be back here for my future orthodontic needs!

Everyone here was absolutely AMAZING!! We felt welcomed as soon as we walked in. The staff treated us with so much respect, even using my child’s chosen pronouns. That means the world to me. Dr. B was so through in his explanation of our scans and purposes of treatment. I was actually fascinated by what I learned about our teeth and why it’s important to have them straight!! We have found our Orthodontist for life here!!

Zero Stars Is What this business deserves. This is the most unprofessional establishment I have ever been to. The receptionist (Julie) who is mentioned in several other reviews absolutely hates her job, and she makes sure that you know it. When I came for my first visit she told me that she couldn't check me in without me looking through my emails to find the email that she previously sent me. After several minutes of me looking, she then says "or I can send you another email." I arrived for another appointment about 20 minutes early, and the door was locked. Myself and other patients stood outside the door as she looked at us with irritation, only to open the door about 5 minutes before my appointment time. Early arrival should be encouraged, and patients should have access to the waiting area at least 20 minutes prior to their appointment times. The majority of businesses provide this courtesy. She has mentioned my personally identifiable information in front of a line full of people, but didn't use that same type of information to check in the patients behind me. The providers here are also extremely unprofessional. They created spaces in my bottom teeth that did not exist, and I'm sure it was to prolong the process, because it should not have taken the projected amount of time to close the spacing that I had since damaging my retainer after having braces. They do not collaborate with their patient's, they take away the patients choice, and move forward with what they want to do. I had my teeth shaved/trimmed at one of my appointments, and when I questioned why they were doing that, I was told my teeth were being polished. That was definitely not a polishing tool. Whenever I brought up concerns (i.e. spacing, staining on my teeth that they created, etc.) The provider always tried to place the blame on me. The provider I had during my last 2 appointments asked me if I was happy with my teeth. When I said no, because I still had spacing her reply was "You have spacing because you have receding gums. That's why you have spacing." She was standing at least 5 ft away from me, and had not even examined my teeth, then she proceeds to take a picture of me, not my teeth, but of me. When I arrived for my last appointment, the 2 people at the front were arguing about scheduling appointments when the office was supposed to be closed for an upcoming holiday. I was not greeted at all. After they finished going back and forth, one of them rudely said "Can I help you,?" as if I was interrupting her unprofessional argument with another staff member. The staff at this office are rude, unhappy, unprofessional and passive-aggressive. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!

This place is horrible messed up my teeth for life my gaps were smaller before braces and they wanted me to pay $2000 more to fix their their mistake. Dr B is a joke had to get a root canal and a fake tooth on my bottom tooth because he told me to file my retainer down with a nail file. I will keep leaving bad reviews so people can learn from my mistake for choosing him to fix my teeth when he did more damage to my teeth then ever fixing them. Now I have to live with huge gaps on my front and bottom teeth in the front where everyone sees them!

I really want to express my gratitude to Mrs. Vilma and Mrs. Julie for making me feel comfortable and at ease during my appointment. For thousands I was told I'd gave perfect teeth for perfect smile at the end. I go in for appt to hear Orthodontist tell me seems like 2 yrs later, and still needing more invisalign, that I won't get perfect teeth for perfect smile. Orthodontist stated they can just slope the one last tooth ( in front) to make look almost correct. I complained my concern quietly, now just waiting for 3rd set of invisalign upon completion, if it doesn't look good. All this just for one tooth

Oh, experience has been so positive from the beginning until now, about three months into the process. We are seeing great results with my sons teeth. The location is so convenient to us here living in Clear, Lake and space city, Orthodontics are definitely experts in the field. I highly recommend them they have streamlined the process and made it all so simple.

Wow. Another Ortho just fixed all the problems Dr. B didn’t and I now have very nice straight teeth. Background: I got treatment in my mid to upper 20s with Dr. B.I wanted straight teeth and he confidently said he could do it with Invisalign. $20k later, my treatment was done and I complained that my bite didn’t feel right. My teeth weren’t exactly straight either and had gaps. He spent 10-15 minutes trying to fix my bite but he frustratingly gave up and denied my issue (as if I was making it up) and told me go to another specialist. Who was I supposed to go to? He’s the Ortho! It was a feeble attempt to fix my bite. He was condescending and impatient once I brought up issues rather than trying to fix issue. Maybe he didn't know how to fix it and instead blamed it on me.Fast forward 8-10 years, my bite still never felt right. I go to another Ortho and he gave me braces and an expander. Took a long time to fix because I’m an adult but now my problem is fixed. My teeth are perfectly STRAIGHT! My best of all bite is fixed and I’m happy. I also found out that Dr. B didn’t fully correct my cross bite. It can be very difficult to correct a cross bite with Invisalign per my current Ortho. Why didn’t Dr. B tell me that to begin with? Why didn’t he steer me towards braces first or at least present the pros and cons of both options? On top of that, he never educated me on the influence of your bite on posture, vision, and body mechanics. Your bite is intimately connected to your vestibular system (balance). This other ortho educated me on this and I was fascinated by it. My bite has improved significantly, my posture, my focus, and my lifts. It sounds ridiculous but this is also backed up by academic research studies in Pubmed. Also, this place is all about numbers and volume. Patient chairs are all grouped together with no privacy so he can speedily churn through patients. Dedicated parking spots for potential customers is sleazy tactics. 5 star reviews for a chance to win an iPad. Staff will spend lots of time with you until you pay. That was years ago. Maybe he doesn’t do that anymore. Either way, you're just another number to him, not a patient.
