I came in for jaw pain and the dentist tried to upsell me thousands of dollars for services I never came in for. He was analyzing my face and said I needed Botox in my forehead because my face is expressive and I will get wrinkles and I'm overdue to start. I'm only 27. I have no wrinkles yet due to my ethnicity. I find it strange that a dentist provides cosmetic botox services and pushes it onto patients. He also said I should get tooth whitening and remineralization. I ended up leaving with low self esteem and a $100 bill for no services provided other than him making fun of me. This felt like a cash grab. He humiliated me, told me I had wrinkles and my face was asymmetric.

Do not go here. One of the dentists made my brother pay for a crown, and then after it was put in told him that he will likely need the tooth pulled. And then scheduled a consultation for him, made him wait first thing in the morning, and told him the consultation actually should be scheduled 6 months from now. When he asked not to be charged (because the consultation never happened), they refused.

I thought their NOHO location was already great but the new location is even better! Such a beautiful office and everything is high tech. My hygienist, Marina, was amazing!! She gave me so many helpful recommendations and left my teeth looking stunning :”) the doctor is also super friendly and answered all my questions. Cannot say enough great things about this office to my friends!

Just a horrible experience. Sucks to see people treated poorly but glad others are speaking out as well. The doctors use lies to further their goals regardless of how they impact others. The Asian assistant needs to adjust their attitude.

Exceptionally nice staff, so I hate writing this. But they are out to charge as much money as possible. I needed a deep cleaning which cost me over one thousand dollars WITH INSURANCE, even though they’re “insurance friendly”. I am not sure what about them is affordable as they advertise. After unfortunately going through with it since they make it seem like your teeth will fall out otherwise, I called 6 other dental locations in the area which were all $200-$500 cheaper! BEYOND upset I chose this location.I would stay far far away if you don’t want an outrageous bill. There’s nothing this dental facility is doing that others aren’t sure here is no rational for the tripling in pricing. They will respond to this post as they do countless others WHO SAY THE SAME THING “if you’d like to discuss further give us a call”.How about you have a sliding scale or maybe consider not charging ridiculous rates.Again, LOVELY STAFF truly. But this place is not by any means working class friendly.

Smile Lab advertises that they accept UFT dental insurance. They DO NOT. They will not even inform you of this during consultation. Their receptionists claimed that my insurance did not cover an endodontist consultation when, in fact, it was only their clinic that did not accept my insurance.DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE A CITY EMPLOYEE

They took my insurance, were very professional, and the end result looks and feels great. Pricing was also within reason for the repair I had done. I would recommend them. They will let you know everything you can do, but if there is ever something you don’t want to explore that’s fine, you can opt out. I felt no pressure and they helped me explore alternatives if needed. The only downside in my case was a bit of lacking communication and transparency around timing. Ask all the questions before you start, make sure you get the full picture upfront.

My wife went for a dental root canal here. Her experience with doctors and the treatment plan was quite fine, but the only reason I provide 3 stars is that the quote they provided prior to treatment was nowhere close to the final amount they billed us ($950 more). Their point was that insurance refused to pay at the end, but based on their experience they should have been able to provide a more accurate quote or range rather than surprising us with that final bill. Patients make treatment decisions based on a provider’s quote; it’s important patients are not misled into making treatment decisions they otherwise wouldn’t have made if they knew what the bill might come to. All that Smile Lab had to say was “We need to compensate our doctors” and “You signed the dotted line that these quoted amounts are just estimates” without addressing the main issue of how they can improve their quoting process upfront.

This office is one of the best I’ve ever experienced. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The pricing is affordable, but I recommend getting a full quote on any procedures before agreeing to it. Place is clean. And I never had a long wait time. But most of all, I want to keep going back because I trust the doctors and physicians to do excellent work. 5/5 dentist practice and I would recommend it to anyone who lives or works in NYC.

Beware!!!! Find another dentist before choosing here. I have never made payment to them while not in absolute agony. I went in for an emergency and was asked to pay $560 upfront while struggling in pain. I just had a follow appointment that cost me $1,100 & left me in agony. The dental assistant was not prepared to help out. I went in feeling fine, but left in pain & with a larger bill than discussed in the pervious visit.
