Dr. Webber - 5 stars all day long! My wife was an extremely nervous patient, now she says she's looking forward to returning. Dr. Webber was extremely detailed in explaining her situation, options and recommended steps. He also gave her step-by-step updates during the procedure and encouraged her to stop him at any time if she was in any pain whatsoever. Aside from his professionalism he is also very approachable and just a genuinely nice person. Can't recommend him enough!

Unbelievably great work done here.I was skeptical of dentists as a whole until I found Upper East Smiles-- had some really bad experiences with some shyster dentists who did shoddy work and pushed unnecessary treatments to make their own $. Not at Upper East Smiles.Every thing they've put in my mouth is built to last, and their medical advice is trustworthy. Everyone in the office is so kind, and their dentists are at the cutting edge of their craft. From casual cleanings to major oral surgeries, I'm not exaggerating when I say I trust these people with my life. I recommend Upper East Smiles to every person I know who's looking for a new dentist.Transparent pricing, flawless work, immaculate service. I'd give them 10 stars if I could.

After reading all the 5 star reviews I really didn’t expect to have the experience I just had. Mind you, I have been going to the dentist regularly for 20 years and have never paid more than $15 for a cleaning and X-rays. That includes a new doctor nearby who I went to see less than a year ago and who examined me and took X-rays.However, this office said it takes my insurance as a NYC teacher but then came out with a breakdown on a notepad before I went in (you know that’s a bad sign) explaining to me how they have hundreds of teacher clients and that what she was showing me was a “discounted” rate. They were charging me $194 for a cleaning AND examination (these go hand in hand on the insurance schedule, AND X-rays, which I did not ask for.) Clearly they do NOT take my insurance or were cheating me. I don’t know but I called my union and they also told me that $194 definitely wasn’t right. That I should have only paid $15 TOTAL! AND that I am entitled to all of this every 6 months at only $15.So to all my fellow UFT members, if you are a patient here, you are being cheated. I’ve included the cost on insurance in a pic. Notice for everything I stated above, I should only be charged a $15 copay. Sounds like fraud to me.Update: since posting this review I have been called, received voice messages and text messages from “Julie, a manager” (I’m assuming trying to get me to take down the review). Lamely Julie tried to blame it on miscommunication (there was none) and “misleading information on Zocdoc” (to me that means a mistake on their part because nothing was misleading). To be clear, I filled out their form ahead of time, my insurance is on Zocdoc where I made the appointment, so they knew what my insurance was and wasted my time trying to get me in there and trick me into paying more. These ridiculous texts and messages are just making it worse. SO GLAD I WALKED OUT!

Saw Dr. Ford-Weber for an initial visit. Cannot recommend him highly enough. Highly professional, considerate of you time, (I don’t think I waited 5 minutes before the tech (( also a very competent person)) had me in the chair and taking x-rays.), took his time when asking about my prior dental work and actually listened to what I had to say. Did my cleaning himself so as to get a better look at the condition of teeth and mouth. What more can you ask for? Oh, the office is bright and fully staffed. The equipment appears to be right up to date technologically speaking. No complaints whatsoever.Update: 4/12/24 - went for my second visit . It was at their new location on 2nd avenue. It’s only been open about 2 months. The place is spotless, bright, extremely well equipped with what appears to all brand new equipment. I had to chuckle when the I reclined back in the chair to get my cleaning and saw the television on the ceiling! But seriously, just another indication of how the staff there thinks about and treats their patients. Top shel! 5 stars.

Always so pleased with the professionalism and personal touch I receive at this practice. They always make me feel very comfortable and explain in detail to any questions I have. The office staff is also outstanding and very communicative. I was searching for a dentist office on the UES who would not only accept insurance, but also help with filing it, which they do. I've seen a few of the dentists in this office and happy with all of them. So much so, that I now have my 3 kids and husband going there as well.I am so happy I found them!

I have been to many, many dental practices in my life but Upper East Side Smiles and Dr Koexcel in all aspects. This is a highly professional, caring and thoughtful practice. From TVs to relax the patient, to state of the art technology, to very polite, informative professionals to expert professional work.Additionally the fees are moderate and I certainly feel I get straightforward honest answers to any dental question raised.I can't say enough good things about Dr Ko and those that work with her.

My whole family uses this practice. Dr Ko is awesome! She’s nice and very attentive. She’s the type of a doctor who would try to save your own tooth before doing a root canal! The service is top notch!Pediatric dentistry is amazing! My 5 and 7 year olds had their cavities fixed, teeth removed, and happily go for a cleaning twice a year.Absolutely recommend Upper East Smiles. Very professional, clean, and overall great dentist practice.

I had a great first appointment here! This is my first dentist in New York City, and I am very pleased. The reception staff are super helpful, there was no wait time before the appointment, and I had the best least painful cleaning of my life! I was in and out in less than an hour and felt great for the first time after a dentist appointment in quite sometime.

For my first visit, it was a cleaning, xray and short, but thorough exam. Everyone (reception, hygienist, radiographer and dentist) were all friendly and professional. Typically, the worst part about the medical field in the US is that practices prioritize profit, and dentists in NY usually try to upsell you an innocuous service or product, or scare you into thinking something is wrong, recommending additional, unnecessary appointments...this makes it an awkward visit. Not here! They only provide necessary services. I'll also say, I did not feel like I was being rushed out...they seemed to genuinely care about their patients, taking the time to review and explain, even have some friendly banter. I'll never look for another dentist again...Upper East Smiles forever.
